Teen Wolf to end after season 6

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLYTeen Wolf fans already knew Scott was contemplating leaving Beacon Hills after graduation, but now it seems everyone will exit the town together.

Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis announced during Thursday’s Comic-Con panel that season 6 will be the show’s last. And with season 6 premiering on MTV in November, its 20-episode order means the series will bow out in 2017, with its 100th episode serving as a series finale.

I know we’re sad about it and it’s bittersweet but we’re so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys,” he said, before hugging star Tyler Posey.

Added costar Holland Roden, “I grew up with this gang of boys basically during my entire 20s… and it’s been the craziest ride. I probably wouldn’t be acting if it wasn’t for this show.”

Speaking to EW before the Comic-Con panel on Thursday, Davis said the final season was going to be a “great gift to the fans.”

Posey added he had an idea for where Scott could go in the final year, and said he loved working on Teen Wolf. “There’s nothing negative about all this,” he said of the final season. “I’m really happy. I’m going to cry my eyes out [at the end]. And it’s going to be an ugly-cry too.”

For now, EW has an exclusive first look at the trailer for the show’s upcoming final season, which not only gives viewers their first glimpse at the Ghost Riders in action, but it also features a surprise return by none other than Peter (Ian Bohen). Because no matter what happens, Peter will never die.

When we realized this might be the last season, we wanted to make sure we brought back these relationships,” Davis said during the Comic-Con panel. “We definitely wanted Peter Hale back to see the relationship between Peter and Malia and what other trouble Peter could get into… and we also have some great scenes between Peter and Stiles. I wanted to see again and Ian and Dylan [O’Brien] have some great stuff this season so we’ll see.”
