Teen Wolf Returns To SDCC 2014 With Panel, Booth, Signings

Network Takes a Bite Out of the Convention Center Floor with First Ever “Teen Wolf” Themed Booth

New York, NY (June 26, 2014)—MTV announced today that its hit drama series “Teen Wolf” will return to San Diego Comic-Con for the fifth year in a row with a panel featuring series’ stars on Thursday, July 24. “Teen Wolf” will also have a show-themed booth on the convention center floor for the first time ever.

Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, plus new cast members Shelley Hennig and Dylan Sprayberry, along with Executive Producer Jeff Davis, will once again take Comic-Con by storm, giving fans a can’t-miss panel in which they will share season four secrets, debut a new mid-season trailer and answer fan questions. The panel will be moderated by Buzzfeed Senior Editor, Jarett Wieselman.

The “Teen Wolf” booth (#3729) will be open to fans all weekend long and will be highlighted by signings and special appearances by cast and crew. The booth will also feature four full days of activations where fans can insert themselves into a custom character poster and create their own “Teen Wolf”-inspired monster. Additionally, MTV commissioned artist Swann Smith to illustrate a limited edition bestiary that serves as a full guide to the creatures of Beacon Hills. The bestiary will be distributed for free throughout the weekend and Swann will be on hand signing copies at the booth.

The Maze Runner Confirmed for SDCC 2014

Also confirmed for SDCC is 20th Century Fox film The Maze Runner, the upcoming film based on the James Dashner young adult series. The film was originally slated for last month (and it even appeared at Nerd HQ during last summer’s SDCC), but was pushed back to September19, 2014.

Lead actor Dylan O’Brien, best known for appearing in Teen Wolf, told Hypable last fall that the move will allow them to appear at San Diego Comic-Con in a much bigger way for 2014:

“We get to do Comic-Con San Diego next year, which we wouldn’t have gotten to do otherwise, so that’ll be good too.”

We’ve also been hearing that it’s very possible we’ll be seeing the film and O’Brien at WonderCon next month.

‘Teen Wolf’ Season 3’s Tyler Posey: Scott’s leadership and the Stiles threat

“Teen Wolf” Season 3 has thrust Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) into leadership in a life-or-death situation. Trouble from the nogitsune and the Oni mean that even Scott’s normal support, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), may be lost.

Posey talks about the challenges and triumphs — plus a new romance with Kira — for Scott in the second half of the current season.

Is Stiles really evil at this point?
He’s 100 percent evil.

Can Scott believe this of his best friend?
He’s evil now but he still might be Stiles on the inside — Scott’s his best friend, he wouldn’t do anything to Scott and he does. And now it’s like there is no sign of Stiles anymore.

Deep down inside, I think Scott always hopes that Stiles is still in there, but he’s kind of second guessing that now. Really just trying to figure out what the h*** to do because he has no idea what to do, you know, how to get him out of there. He’s really lost because Stiles is his rock.

Now Scott’s growing up a lot and he really has great instincts on things and doesn’t really need the second hand from Stiles, but he’s his best friend overall so it’s definitely a huge impact on him so it’s going to be awkward.

Is Scott going to be able to face the idea that he might have to kill Stiles?
He doesn’t believe it. In the world of ‘Teen Wolf’ and especially in Scott’s world he always sees a second option. Death is never the first option for Scott at least, and he can always, always find and trust in himself that he will always find a second outcome. Because first of all, killing Stiles is not an option for Scott … There’s no way. He will never be able to live with himself.

Alex and Sierra recorded a song with ‘Teen Wolf’ star Dylan O’Brien

Get ready for an unlikely collaboration that will warm your pop culture-loving heart: Recent “X Factor” champions Alex and Sierra have teamed up with “Teen Wolf” star Dylan O’Brien for a new song.

Florida-based duo Alex and Sierra have been in Los Angeles since early January writing and recording their debut album. They perfected their folky duets on the third season of the FOX reality competition, but are apparently open to adding a third voice to the mix. (They sang “Bleeding Love” with U.K. “X Factor” winner Leona Lewis during the final Season 3 performance show.)

Alex and Sierra tweeted a picture from the studio on Tuesday (Jan. 21).

The musically inclined O’Brien plays the drums in a band — at least according to his Wikipedia page — but has also recorded himself singing (sort of) in videos posted online.

No word on what the song sounds like — or when we’ll get to hear it.

MTV Renews ‘Teen Wolf’ for Season 4, Launching Aftershow

MTV has renewed Teen Wolf for a fourth season.

The cable network has picked up 12 more episodes of the supernatural drama, it was revealed Saturday at New York Comic-Con. Season four will premiere in 2014.
MTV also announced a new talk show, Wolf Watch, that will begin airing after new episodes of Teen Wolf when the series returns for the remaining 12 episodes of season three Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.

The half-hour Wolf Watch will be hosted by Jill Wagner, who plays Kate Argent on the series. Wolf Watch will offer more insight into Teen Wolf, touching on topics such as its mythology, romances and bromances. Guest appearances from the cast, as well as celebrity fans are expected.

The news comes following a strong first half of season three, during which Teen Wolf averaged 2.8 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in MTV’s target 12-34 demographic, making it the most-watched and highest-rated season thus far.

MTV’s announcement of an accompanying Teen Wolf talk show comes after other cable networks like AMC and TNT opted to continue the discussion for its flagship series with similar talk show formats for water-cooler series Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and Falling Skies. The renewal keeps Teen Wolf firmly in the MTV family, along with Awkward, which was picked up for a fourth season.

Teen Wolf was developed by Jeff Davis, who executive produces with Russell Mulcahy, Marty Adelstein, Rene Echevarria, Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley. Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin and Holland Roden star.

The first half of the season is available on DVD on Dec. 10.

‘Teen Wolf’: ‘Love Is in the Air’ for Danny, But Will Stiles Lose His Virginity?

If last week’s episode of Teen Wolf taught us anything, it’s that virgins are not welcome in Beacon Hills.

Unfortunately, that’s bad news for poor Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), whose best option for shredding his V-card fell victim to a mysterious killer. Lydia (Holland Roden), ahem, has been busy.
But she’s not the only one getting busy on the show. Danny (Keahu Kahuanui), one of the show’s few openly gay characters, will see his own romantic storyline unfold this season.
